Yesterday was a good day to be a Canadian, but beyond that, it was a good day to be a Canadian artist.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Alas, I didn’t fly back to Calgary for the weekend this year, so I’m missing out on the turkey dinners — one yesterday with Colin’s family (which he cooked, so I’m extra-disappointed to have missed it!) and one today with my family. I suppose that’s the way it goes when I’ve only been back here for just over 2 weeks as it is; or, at least, that was the rationale behind the decision.

In any case, I hope you had some delicious turkey and a great weekend with family and friends.

I spent my long weekend sleeping in, staying up far too late, and doing homework. Even with only one “real” class on my schedule, there’s always too much to do, and I keep coming up with more projects that just have to be done now. Yeah, you know how it is. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about.

So I’m thankful for Colin, the fact that I still have nicer weather than Calgary for a few more months, and my two months left. They’ll be good ones, and by the time I get to the next Thanksgiving on the calendar, they’ll be thisclose to being over!
